Import – Export Operations Manager – Team Worldwide DFW

Team Worldwide is currently interviewing for the position of International Operations Manager. The Ideal candidate will have at least 5 year’s experience in Freight Forwarding Export operations preferably with both Air and Ocean experience. Import experience is a plus! Candidate will perform a variety of duties in support of the Branch Office’s export activities. Candidate will assist in the growth of the Branch and the recruitment and training of additional staff members to fill various roles as needed.


  • Coordination with shippers, trucker, steamship lines, airlines, and other branch offices.
  • Complete all shipment processes from pickup to delivery to include invoicing, accounting, milestone updates, and quality review.
  • Maintain communication with all vendors, carriers, and customers.
  • Negotiate aggressive rates with all service providers.
  • Negotiate and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in conjunction with Customer and Sales teams.
  • Provide quotes to all overseas offices in order to build additional volumes and relationships.
  • Operate and maintain data throughout the Team proprietary systems.
  • Recruit, hire and supervise additional team members while building additional business volumes.
  • Resolve issues as needed in conjunction with customers’ requirements and standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills with the ability to handle conflict.
  • Deadline conscious with high attention to detail.
  • Motivation to self-manage and continuously contact carriers in order to build and maintain an effective carrier pipeline.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years experience in a progressive Freight Forwarding environment.
  • Knowledge of US export and import regulations as well as other government agency requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of domestic and international geography including major airports and seaports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current IATA and/or IMDG hazmat training a bonus.
  • Microsoft Office proficient with strong overall computer skill set.

Ocean Operations Manager

Team Worldwide is seeking an experienced and aggressive individual to head up the Ocean Operations Department of a Global Service Center.

Various NVOCC and Freight Forwarding transactions will be required.

This corporate position will be based in Dallas, TX and will coordinate and support ocean operations at Branch Locations across the US. Responsibilities will include training, verification of experience in the field and monitoring quality of service, quotations and international agent support.

  • Applicants must have 5+ years international ocean NVOCC & freight forwarding experience with an emphasis on NVOCC operations and FMC compliance.

Import Export Manager

  • 5+ years international freight forwarding experience with an emphasis on import Customs procedures and documentation requirements; Canada and Mexico border experience necessary
  • Export documentation experience with ability to route export freight and complete documentation
  • Licensed Customs Broker a plus
