Requirements:

  • Lead Generation – Highly motivated and self-driven. Works independently to identify, develop and enhance sales opportunities in assigned territories. National Sales Director

Job Description

Team Worldwide Corporate office is seeking a National Sales Director. 

Position Overview and Responsibility: 

  • Assist Branch Owners with the development of their sales to include coaching, sales strategy, joint sales calls, recruitment, and sales training.
  • Work with the executive team to develop corporate sales budgets, incentive plans, product strategy, growth plans, and business plans in order to achieve the long term corporate goals.
  • Develop a corporate national sales team which will be responsible for securing global and national accounts. The team must be well versed in selling all transportation modes international and domestic (air, land, sea and supply chain solutions) and work in a collaborative manner with the local branch offices.
  • Develop and implement sales plans concentrating within key vertical industry segments such as Trade Show, Medical, E Commerce/ Retail and Government.
  • Expand the development of key corporate accounts by penetrating the decision making hierarchy, enhancing relationships, selling value added solutions, and raise the visibility of Team Worldwide within the total supply chain of the organization.
  • Develop and manage a corporate sales support team that would work with the GSC (Global Service Centers), but focus would be pricing, RFP / RFQ responses, new account implementation, QBRs, SOPs, reporting and general sales support.
  • Have personnel direct revenue goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development of a “Team GSA” (Team General Sales Agreement) structure of independent pure sales agencies.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the CEO and President of Team Worldwide, but works in a collaborative approach with both local branch owners and the executive team. Positive interaction with the branch owners will be instrumental in the success of the individual.

 Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years sales/sales management experience within the transportation and logistics industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of developing and coaching a sales team
  • Quantifiable record of sales accomplishments and dealing with Fortune 1000 companies
  • International, domestic, and supply chain knowledge
  • Team player
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and listening skills
  • Logistics technology knowledge
  • Multi languages preferred, but not required
  • Valid passport with overseas business travel preferred
  • Computer skills to include Email, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • High energy, passionate, and results driven

 Additional information: 

  • Full time, Exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Travel required, majority domestic, but occasionally international
