Tom Burgess Appointed by Team Worldwide to New Position as Director of Field Sales

Team Worldwide, a global yet locally-minded freight forwarder and 3PL company, is pleased to announce the latest addition to their team.

From our continuing effort to support the sales force within the Team system, we are excited to announce the appointment of Tom Burgess as Director of Field Sales.

In this role, Tom will be working collaboratively with the Executive Team and Branch Owners to further Team’s revenue growth company-wide. He will be responsible for supporting pricing and RFP/RFQ activity, as well as developing processes for new account implementation and other sales support-related activities. “It’s exciting to be joining Team Worldwide as we celebrate 40 years of operation. I’m impressed by the organization’s dedication and desire to provide each customer with best-in-class service with a personal touch, and I look forward to being a part of Team’s continued growth in years to come,” commented Tom.

Mr. Burgess is an established presence in the 3PL and freight forwarding industry. He brings a great deal of management, leadership, and sales experience to the Team family. He is an executive and business leader with US and international success in startup, emerging markets, and growth environments. Throughout his tenure of leadership, he has negotiated major contracts with industrial leaders, managed global clients, and implemented key efficiencies to improve operations.
